How We Began
Mitsuo assembled the initial co-founding team and, together with Jeffrey Harper and the other co-founders, recruited a vanguard team focused on delivering advanced SMR solutions globally. The team includes Kazuhiko Kunitomi, Ph.D., a leading international authority on high-temperature gas-cooled reactors; Rumina Velshi, a world-class expert on nuclear energy policy, regulation, and innovation; Finis Southworth, Ph.D., a global leader in nuclear R&D, systems science, and analysis; and Andrea Veil, formerly a veteran NRC executive known for transformational leadership.

The company’s co-founders are Japanese, American and Canadian. Our team includes leading experts from across the globe who bring a wealth of experience gained while working in many different countries and cultures.
ZettaJoule has offices in Houston, Texas - the Energy Capital of the World – along with offices in Washington, D.C., Tokyo and Mito, Japan.
