Common Questions
Through our workforce subsidiary ZROC (ZettaJoule Reactor Operating Company), we will recruit locally, regionally and across the nation to train individuals for careers as nuclear engineers, plant operators, technicians and other essential roles.
ZROC partners with Harper Academy 4 Future Nuclear Engineers which provides a no-cost summer residential program for high school students. During the month-long academy, students are introduced to college engineering coursework and experience hands-on learning. The program originated and continues at the University of Michigan. Texas A&M University and the University of Texas have been identified as possible additional host campuses.
The goal of the academy is to inspire students to pursue nuclear engineering careers, thus strengthening the talent pipeline to mitigate persistent workforce shortages in the nuclear industry.
