Professional experience
Prior to becoming a finance executive at ZettaJoule, Kaoko served in a senior role at SMS Construction and Mining Systems in Alberta, Canada, where she was responsible for financial oversight and governance matters.
She was a Manager at Sumitomo Corporation in Tokyo – one of the world's leading trading and business investment firms – before being promoted to a director role at Sumitomo Corporation of Americas in New York, the largest subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate. In both positions, she led cross-functional teams to improve strategic accounting and tax management practices and processes.
Kaoko was also part of the senior staff at Deloitte (Tokyo) where she was responsible for financial audits, internal controls assessments, and client advisory services.
