Sherry has won three Emmy Awards for journalistic excellence and has been nominated for five Emmys.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Sherry has extensive experience in a wide range of specialized communications areas, including broadcast and print journalism, public relations, crisis communications, government relations, video production, AP style copy editing, event coordination and social media management.
She built a distinguished career as a news anchor, producer, show creator, and reporter in major U.S. media markets, including Houston, Dallas and Detroit. Her work earned numerous awards and industry recognition.
Sherry has held both leadership and supporting roles at ABC-, NBC-, CBS-, FOX- and CW-affiliated television stations, and served as a contributing national news correspondent for CBS, BET and the BBC. Prior to joining ZettaJoule, she was an award-winning communications manager for two of Texas’ largest public school districts – Houston ISD and Fort Bend ISD.
EDUCATION
Sherry holds a B.A. in journalism from Texas A&M University in College Station.

She is a native Houstonian and fourth generation Texan who has lived abroad in Tokyo.
Sherry thoroughly enjoys sports both as a spectator and a participant. She is an endurance cyclist, having completed more than a dozen 180-mile marathon rides for charity in the past 20 years. She jokes that the first 179 miles are a breeze, but the last mile is a beast!
