Most notably
Rube Williams holds two patents in artificial intelligence.
He received the Emerald Honors Award for Outstanding Research at Los Alamos National Laboratory, as cited in Science Spectrum Magazine.
Rube was awarded the Certificate of Outstanding Achievement from Nuclear Operations for innovative problem-solving during the startup test phase of Enrico Fermi II Nuclear Generating Station in Michigan.
Professional experience
Rube has more than three decades of experience in developing advanced software solutions for complex nuclear and thermal systems challenges, with particular expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
He has authored or co-authored nearly two dozen technical publications encompassing artificial intelligence, microgravity research, nuclear energy, and space-propulsion technologies.
An innovative entrepreneur, Rube has founded and led two companies: Jet Learning Laboratory, Inc., which delivered mathematics and physics education solutions, and Stratos Perception, LLC., which develops foundational AI technologies to enhance industrial productivity, autonomy, and safety.
He began his career performing nuclear steam-supply-system thermal hydraulics analyses for Detroit Edison’s Fermi 2 boiling-water reactor. Subsequently, he developed reactor control room training simulator software for the Comanche Peak pressurized-water reactor; and he conducted reactor-core and radiation-systems simulations at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Education
Rube holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Nuclear Engineering, all from Texas A&M University in College Station.
